Features
The garden is a great opportunity for gardeners to have a happy, secure and enjoyable place where all participants can garden and socialize peacefully in a neighborly way.
The half-acre City Center property has been developed for this community garden through CDBG grant funding. There are 44 garden plots (4βx8βx12β) that residents may use to grow organic fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. Four additional plots are wheelchair accessible (4βx8βx24β) and are situated on concrete slabs.
Individual garden plots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is an annual fee of $25 which operates on the fiscal year beginning October 1 through September 30. There are no pro-rated fees. Interested gardeners can apply in person at the Civic Center Recreation Desk. More city facility locations to apply for plots are coming soon.
